How do I use myTutor ?

1 - Type a question into text box and click 'Search'. Use short meaningful questions or key phrases. If you don't find what you are looking for immediately try checking your spelling or rephrasing the question.

2 - questions searches all the Learning Notes to find the most appropriate answers and lists them in order of significance, putting any relivent Expert / Therapist Answers first. The title and an abstract of the content of any matching documents are displayed in order of relevance.

3 - Click on the document title at the top of each block to see the full document in a new window. E.g. Negotiating Step 5

4 - If you need information that is not currently in the knowledgebase, you can click on the 'Ask an Expert' link. Select an Expert by first picking from the list of areas of expertise, then from the list of available Experts. You will be presented with a short pre-filled form containing your question which you can amend or expand on as appropriate, prior to clicking the 'send' button.

5 - When the expert has uploaded a response to your question to the questions knowledgebase, you will be automatically emailed to say the answer is available. Click on the link provided in the email you receive, to be taken straight to the answer.

There are 3 types of knowledge resources available to you.

A - Learning Notes. These can be displayed by searching, as shown in the diagram to the left or by ckicking on the title in mypages where only the screen 2 is shown.

You can navigate around the complete set of Note pages once a specific page has been found in the search, in 4 ways:

1 - Click on the page titles which are listed as a 'table of Contents'

2 - The links on the main screen graphic located on the left of frame 2.

3 - Use the < back and Forward> buttons at the bottom middle of the window, just below the Note's text.

4 - Use a Full Screen view by clicking on the icon at the bottom far right of the main window. You will then see an enlargement of area 2 (the Graphics) and be able to navigate using the various links on the left hand side of the screen.

NOTE: To return to a normal screen view press the Esc button to the top-left of your keyboard. You can also toggle from a window in your browser to Full Screen by pressing F11 on your keyboard.

B - Information that has been provided by one of the on-line Experts to a previously asked question. If there are relevant expert responses available, these will be listed first, followed by those derived from the documentation KnowledgeBase (see A above).

C - Answers to questions you have asked. You first see these in an email with a link back to this website that may give you more information and access to relevant downloads.
